Modern kitchens
61% of remodelers expect to complete a kitchen remodel in 2014.
These remodels are expected to follow a new trend; Quartz counters, bright colors, wrought iron hardware and lighting. Modern is in with white or gray cabinetry, simple and clean countertops, glossy finishes and minimalistic designs. Appliances are starting to be completely hidden from view to give the kitchen a more sleek and refined feel.
Brass accents
Brass is set to make a comeback in 2014. Brass accents are nothing new, but the trend has gotten a facelift in recent years. Highly polished, bright brass hardware and lighting is gone and new rustic, aged and hammered brass is in. This look adds an aged, antique, or vintage style to any space.
Updated bathrooms
Bathrooms came in as the second most remodeled room in the home Vintage bathrooms will always be in style but not nearly as popular as resort style bathrooms with walk-in showers, multiple shower heads and heated floors. This will be the up-and-coming trend for 2014.
Vibrant colors
More vibrant colors are in. Try turquoise, orange and yellow. They create focal points, accent walls and add a pop of color to each living space.
